"What a beautiful day for swimming! It's 72 outside and I have the afternoon off...why not take a dip in the pool?"
(5 minutes later...)
"Yikes! That's too cold for my toe, so why in the world would I get in to my waist!"
This is the time of year when people want to swim but it is too cold. Pools will dip down in to the 60's and upper 50's because the ground temp around the pool is a steady 53, constantly cooling that pool off. Also, Oklahoma wind does a good job of sweeping that heat off the top of the pool. Those little ripples that you see are the equivalent of someone blowing on a hot cup of coffee to cool it off!
We always see a spike in solar pool heating (SPH) this time of year, and this year is no different. A pool can be heated an extra 5-15 degrees with a solar pool system, and that heat can be kept in and increased and extra 8 degrees easily with inflatable 6 foot solar discs thrown on top of the water.
While it is always unpredictable what days will be cloudy vs. sunny, solar pool heating is one of the most efficient, most affordable, simplest, and quickest solar systems available. Add a system to your pool today and get the most enjoyment out of your pool!
Also, we get to go for a test swim when we are finished with your new solar pool heating system:)

LOL, Yikes it’s to cold for sure. It’s even to cold in S Florida without solar pool heating.
